Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

This page covers Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). PiCockpit is a very powerful application that gives you full control over your device.

We therefore highly recommend enabling 2FA on PiCockpit for security reasons.

Enabling 2FA

To enhance the security of your PiCockpit account, you can enable 2FA by following these steps:

1. Log in to your PiCockpit account on the PiCockpit website.

2. Navigate to the "Two FA" section on your User page, accessible either by clicking on the username at the top or "Settings" in the sidebar.

3. Follow the instructions provided to enable 2FA for your account. This involves scanning a QR code with your authenticator app or manually entering a secret code into the app.

4. Once 2FA is enabled, you will be required to enter a secondary authentication code along with your password whenever you log in to your PiCockpit account.
